Coaches should only guide a player, says Kumble

Bengaluru: Former India captain Anil Kumble visited the National Cricket Academy (NCA) on Monday to address the 23 Level Two and Three coaches at the spin bowling specialist course held in the premises of the academy. Having never been formally coached as a youngster, it was ironic that he spoke to so many qualified coaches, a lot of whom are former players themselves. Kumble had also been made aware that India's own Level One coaching manual is, in all probability, to be released later this year but he still preferred a 'hands off' approach to coaching.
