information of current cricket

India, replying to England's first innings score of 316, carried their overnight score of 155-6 to 241-9 by lunch on the third day at the Chidambaram stadium.England's hopes of bringing a quick end to the Indian innings faded as Dhoni and Harbhajan batted through the first hour to make amends for the top order failure on Friday.Dhoni made 53 and Harbhajan contributed 40 before both batsmen fell to left-arm spinner Monty Panesar.Andrew Flintoff removed Zaheer Khan for one, but Amit Mishra (12) and Ishant Sharma (eight) put on 22 valuable runs for the unbroken last wicket by lunch.Dhoni, who resumed at his overnight score of 24, showed his aggressive intent from the start when he cut Flintoff to the point boundary in the second over of the morning. The Indian captain moved to 38 when Ian Bell failed to hold a difficult chance at short-leg off Panesar.Harbhajan should have fallen soon after he edged Steve Harmison down the leg-side to diving wicketkeeper Matt Prior, but umpire Billy Bowden disallowed the catch after consulting his colleague Daryl Harper......Television replays proved inconclusive.
Harbhajan swept Panesar for a four to bring up the 50 partnership and then took two successive boundaries off Harmison to post India's 200.
