Mohammed Amir Iman, the father of Kasab, broke down as he made the admission at his house in Farid-kot, a village in Okara district of Punjab province, the Dawn newspaper reported. “I was in denial for the first couple of days, saying to myself it could not have been my son,” Iman said. “Now I have accepted it. This is the truth. I have seen the picture in the newspaper. This is my son Ajmal.”Islamabad asked for consular access to Kasab and got a firm rebuttal from the Union home minister. Mr P. Chidambaram said in Chennai that Pakistan had no locus standi to demand access to Kasab as it had been maintaining that he is not a Pakistani national..............................
